ABOUT THE LOVE OF GOD 41
A Tribute to My Mother, Changa Hudson
My journey to creating this clothing brand, The Love of God, began with a profound loss and an even deeper calling. At the age of 41, my mother, Changa Hudson, passed away unexpectedly. Her departure shook my world, but it also ignited a fire within me that I couldn't ignore. I was devastated, but in the midst of my grief, God gave me a vision—one that I believe was both a promise and a purpose.
I remember the moment clearly, as if it were yesterday. I was praying, seeking comfort in the quiet stillness, when I heard God’s voice clearly in my spirit. He told me to create something that would not only honor my mother’s legacy but also carry the message of His unwavering love. The words were simple but powerful: “ Create a brand called “The Love of God, and let it be more than just a brand—let it be your testimony, so through your life you may save others. “
At that moment, everything shifted. I understood that this brand wasn’t about clothes. It was about love. It was about faith. It was about my journey, my pain, and my healing—and how God had shown up in the midst of it all. I was being called to share His love with the world, to use my experiences as a way to inspire and encourage others. This brand was to be a testimony of how God's love can carry you through the darkest times and bring you into a new purpose.
My mother, Changa, was a woman of incredible strength and faith. She had a heart that radiated love, and her ability to uplift others, even in the most challenging circumstances, was something I will forever cherish. She taught me that love is the greatest gift we can offer to the world, and it is this love that now fuels every stitch, every design, and every word behind *The Love of God*.
When God gave me this vision, He didn’t just want me to create a clothing line. He wanted me to create a movement—a reminder that no matter where we are in life, we are always held by God’s love. This brand is my way of telling my story, of honoring my mother’s memory, and of sharing the love and grace that God continues to pour into my life. It’s my testimony—woven into every piece we create.
*The Love of God* is not just a brand you wear; it’s a message you carry. It’s a reminder that we are never alone, that God’s love is ever-present, and that through every trial and triumph, His love remains our foundation.
In my mother’s memory, I invite you to join me on this journey of love, faith, and transformation. *The Love of God* is more than a name—it’s the heartbeat of my story, and it’s my prayer that it becomes a part of yours as well.
With love,
